My art is a meditation on the world, embodying my contemplative, yet neutral attitude towards the complexities of the world. I consider myself to be a meditative observer, but not a bystander, because I do not stand in parallel but gaze down at them from an aerial perspective. By gazing down at the world’s complexities, it’s no longer the goodness of each that matters, but the impossible dynamics between them as they struggle to co-exist. It is this interactivity I strive to capture in all of my artworks, while the controversial qualities of each complex matter get dismissed. Ultimately, my art aims to accomplish an industrial entanglement in the midst of something; It is neither an argument or a narrative, but rather an ontologically subjective version of the human world. Using industrial materials such as metal, cement, wire, PVC fabric, and PVC cables, I construct sculptures that articulate the interplay of forces in a surreal manner, that of which defies the laws of physics. In creating these artworks, I work in a timeless manner as I exert meditative control over these materials, my whole body in a tense state and my mind absolutely obsessed with making every aesthetic choice count towards the piece. I believe such tension and obsession get translated into the artwork, successfully imprinting myself onto the piece. This is essential to my practice because my artworks are an attempt to share my distinct worldview with the audience.
